The band entered a battle of the bands in early 2005 in Winchester and got the chance to perform at The Tower Arts Centre and The Theatre Royal.

About this time a chance encounter in Southampton's The Soul Cellar between Ryan and guitarist Pierre Le Goff led to the trio becoming a band.
